Stress buster methods & techniques

It’s tough out there, isn’t it? I mean really. You have to be the best in your business, raise good kids, be a loving, understanding husband, pay the bills, grieve the sudden loss of a loved one, deal with a separation, work with the poor economy and now you have to deal with  prostate cancer. That's not what you signed up for eh?

We are going to help you identify stressors and “reframe” them. Stress is induced by your representation of the events that occur in your life. Your representation, or better yet, your perception needs to be altered so that stress chemicals are LEAST produced so that you live cancer-free.

Learn breathing techniques to relax your nervous system in an instant

.
Identify what's really important in your life and spend most of your time working on that. Often times our behavior is incongruent with our beliefs of what's important. This leads to an unhappy, stressful life. Discover how to "incongruent living."

2. Rejuvenate through movement

Sedentary people do worse with cancer than those that move their bodies more frequently.

A significant amount of research is now indicating that exercise helps reduce the recurrence rates of CaP, better tolerate prostate cancer treatment and improve quality of life in men with CaP.

The CaP retreat program teaches a comprehensive approach involving cardiovascular conditioning, strength training, stretching and yoga. Yoga is an ancient eastern mind/body exercise that has shown to relieve stress and help in healing.

Professionals in the field who are licensed and certified will teach all exercises.

Each aspect of the program is fun, safe and a developed so that you can continue these exercises at home.

Research shows that the leaner you are the lower your chances for recurrence after treatment (Freedland et al. 2004)

We will be walking to most of retreat destinations in New York City while admiring the beautiful scenery the city has to offer.

Your current health status and fitness level will be assessed so that you are properly guided
